Hannah obtained a Very Competent in the BPTC at UWE Bristol and will complete her LLM before commencing pupillage. She was awarded a First Class Honours degree in her accelerated LLB from the University of Law in London. Whilst completing the BPTC, Hannah won the St John’s Chambers’ Mooting Competition and was a finalist in the Albion Chambers’ Advocacy Competition. She has also won multiple public speaking competitions throughout her education.
Hannah gained valuable experience of matrimonial finance issues, child contact arrangements, and maintenance orders whilst volunteering for the Bristol Law Court Clinic. She also advised clients at a Domestic Abuse Clinic on non molestation orders, occupation orders, and divorce proceedings, during her time at Bar school. She provided thoroughly researched advice to her clients under the supervision of a solicitor. In July 2018 Hannah volunteered as a female mentor to young girls in Uganda where she delivered talks on sexual assault and relationships.
Prior to starting pupillage, Hannah will be interning for the International Justice Mission, a large anti-slavery charity in Washington DC. She will be working for the Global Safety and Security team; researching potential threats to staff and writing safety policies to be used within IJM projects worldwide. Hannah is an active member of her local church where she particularly enjoys working with children, and the rest of her free time is usually taken up with playing sport and drinking good coffee.
