Before joining Pallant Chambers Cristina practiced from a Midlands set, managing a busy mixed practice of Family and Civil proceedings, specialising in Public and Private Children Act proceedings, and Family and Financial Remedy proceedings.
Regularly instructed in care proceedings involving non-accidental injuries, neglect, abuse and harm. Represented local authorities, children’s guardian, parents and interveners in cases involving care and placement orders, special guardianship orders and adoption orders
Regularly instructed in private children proceedings, acting for parents, grandparents, guardians and local authorities in cases involving child arrangements orders, parental responsibility, prohibited steps, specific issue, parental alienation and enforcement proceedings. Many of the cases involve allegations of domestic abuse, emotional, physical, sexual and financial abuse. She appears regularly in FHDRAs, DRAs, review hearings, direction hearings, fact-finding hearings, final hearings and enforcement hearings.
Acted for applicants, respondents and interveners in financial proceedings from FDAs and FDRs through to final hearings in cases involving conduct, multiple / investment properties, disposal of assets and undisclosed foreign assets. Wherever possible, she strives to achieve an early resolution and avoid disproportionate legal costs.
