Dirk van Heck has a commercial and chancery practice, which includes all kinds of business disputes, modern and traditional chancery work, including property, and employment law.
Having spent several years as an associate at leading international law firm Maples and Calder in the British Virgin Islands, in 2014 Dirk undertook a course to extend his Public Access qualification to the right to act in a dual capacity – i.e. to be able to undertake the functions of a solicitor as well as barrister. Work of this kind now comprises a significant part of his practice.
Whilst being able to carry out the functions traditionally carried out by a solicitor as well as barrister, Dirk remains a highly accomplished advocate, having acted in thirteen reported cases and undertaken specialist mediation advocacy training.
