Construction
Chambers’ construction team deals with most aspects of contentious and non-contentious construction law. The contentious work involves disputes in both the High Court and the county courts as well as adjudications and arbitrations. Cases range from the most straight- forward of domestic building contracts to complex litigation in the Technology and Construction Court. This litigation will often involve issues of negligence on the part of architects, surveyors and other construction professionals.
The non contentious work will typically include the drafting or revision of building contracts and advising on any wider contractual issues.
As a consequence of Chambers’ location, some members of the Team have particular expertise in litigation relating to yachts and the marine industry. Other members have considerable experience of disputes arising out of the construction and repair of sewers and water mains.
